Honestly, it really depends on many factors such as:

  • Industry you are current in
  • Salary you are looking at
  • Your current skills, experience and qualification levels

However, if you are in the industries with high percentage of remote jobs such as:

  1. Computer and Mathematical Occupations
  2. Education, Training, and Library Occupations
  3. Legal Occupations
  4. Business and Financial Operations Occupations
  5. Management Occupations

Your chances of getting a remote job is pretty high. As most of the job in these industry do not need you to be physically be at the job site to do your job.

You’ll just need to get to job search sites and apply for the relevant jobs. However, to increase your chances of success, you may want to:

  1. Apply for remote jobs at specialized remote job sites
  2. Craft a job specific resume with relevant skills and experience.
  3. Add a cover letter for each of the job applications
  4. Update your online profiles on LinkedIn, or any other job sites profile like HQHIRE, etc.
  5. Be consistent in applying jobs

Getting a remote job can sometimes be a grind, but it is not as hard as many people may think. In fact, it is getting easier to get a remote job nowadays as more companies are moving online.
